This is the Third post in our Six essentials series and we will
discuss the second essential of the Six in this email.

Once again the Six essentials are:
1)A plan of ACTION.

If you will keep these Six things firmly in your
mind as you  build your business it will become difficult for
you to fail. Missing any One of these Six are the primary reason
for the Ninty percent(or more)failure rate in this industrie.

Now as I have mention before you will have to at some point invest
in your success and the very first thing that you will absolutely
need to invest in is your own website.

When I say your own website I mean just that, Not a web site that
has been assigned to you from some affiliate program,but your own
site that is hosted on your own hosting service account.

There are several advantages to having your own web hosting account
and the most important of them is control. This contol will give
you a home base of operation and make it possible for you to create
multiple streams of income and grow a huge marketing list of your
own.
Without this control or home base of operation you will always be
limited to what you can accomplish in your business.For instance you
will always struggle to generate traffic to your offers and
building a list becomes almost impossible without it.

OK with that said, there are only three hosting services that I
recommend and the reasons are:

>Reliability.
>Ample bandwith
>Unlimited Domains on one account.
>Cpanel operation.
>quality of support.
>and of course price.

There are literaly Hundreds of Hosting services out there and this
should save you some time and money when you are ready to set up
your first website.

The Three that I use personally are:

>Hostgator–  http://ronaldchaney.com/recommends/gator 
and
>Thirdsphere– http://ronaldchaney.com/recommends/thirdsphere
 
Now the Two hosting services on the top of this list Lunar pages
and Hostgator are my recommendation for the beginner. Thirdsphere,
although a full service hosting outfit offer many services in their
package that the new marketer will not need and will not know how
to use. They are also kind of pricey. The important thing for the
beginner is to start as cheap as possible and to start building a
list and making some money right away.

Both lunarpages and Hostgator offer hosting packages for around
10.00 a month.
Once you have secured a hosting account it is time to think about
your first website and I recommend that it be a simple splash
page to capture sign ups to your list.

These are very easy to build using the wysiwyg web building
software included with the hosting account at any of the above
hosting services.

The next post I write will explain this process in more detail
and reveal the next tool that you will need to consider in order to
capture email addresses and automate the process of communicating
with your list.

Six essential steps to starting and maintaining a successful online
business

Our last post revealed the list of Six essential steps of
starting and maintaining a successful online business, and number
One on this list is a “Plan of action”.

Sadly this step is often disregarded by most new online opportunity
seekers. Please do not make this mistake!  I can not stress
strongly enough how important this step is to your future success. 
I will tell you why, using my own online business experience.

Several years ago when I first started playing with the idea of
making some extra money online. I started selling  some of my old
stuff on Ebay and I made a few bucks. Then I purchased a Ebook and
video on how to make my auctions more successfull and I made more
money on ebay (a lot more).I was thrilled at how well this was
working, but in a few short weeks I began to run out of stuff
to sell and I thought back to the ebay ebook and video I had
purchased and thought this would be perfect. Number One it was a
product that I would never run out of and number Two it
eliminated the cost and headachs of shipping.

I started to search online for information on marketing ebooks
online and Oh man! I was quickly overwhelmed with this world we
call “Internet Marketing”.

To make a long story short, I almost went completely broke buying
info on the subject. My wife of 23 years(at the time) was
threatning to leave me because all I did was sit in front of
the computer when I was’nt working my regular job and I was
spending all of our money on ebooks, software,and programs
that were not making any moolala.

I could have avoided this whole dark period in my life with….
a simple Plan Of Action.

Now…..I’m not going to bore you to death with all the ins and outs
of making up an plan of action, because all action plans are
different according to the needs of the individual.

What I would like to say though is that any  effective plan of
action must have your goals for the short,medium,and long term
and should also be written or printed  so that it can be put in a
place that is clearly visible to you everyday as you work,…Thus
helping you to stay focused on the things that put you closer to
your goals. It also should include the business model that
you are going to focus on at least until you reach your medium
term goals.

This will help keep you focused on your over all plan. 
It’s never a good idea to jump from One model to another at least
until you start to make some income with the first One that you
decide on.

So before you buy another ebook,Join another program, or sign
up to another list, sit down and make your plan of action.

>What do I need to achieve in the next Thirty days?

>What do I need to achieve in the next Six months?

>What do I need to achieve in the next Twelve months?

Decide how you will achieve these goals(your business model).
Affiliate marketing?,Resell rights mini sites? Create my own
product? There are many models you can use for making your
goals a reality. Pick one and focus on it until you have
reached your mid term goals and then consider branching into other
income streams.

I hope this helps you, I know that this One
lesson saved me from almost certain disaster and started me on
my way to a level of success that I never even considered
possible before.

Step number Two is your own website. This is where we start getting
into the meat and potatos of online marketing.

As a full time internet marketer, I am on almost 100 other marketers email
list. Now you may think this a little odd, but there
is actually a very good reason for this. It provides me with important info,
showing me what my competition is doing to market there
products, or in most cases market other peoples products as afilliates.

Now most of the time it goes something like this.You sign up on somebodys list
 in exchange for some freebie and then that marketer bombards you day after day
with One sales pitch after another, Until you are suffering from info over load
to the point that your head is about to explode. For most new marketers,just
starting to explore starting their own business online,This information over load only serves to confuse and frustrate them.

My point here is that very few marketers take the opportunity to teach their new list
 members what it really takes to start and grow a successful online business, and this
 is a shame because these marketers are missing a golden opportunity to,

>Build a trusting relationship with their list members.

>Create a list of people that are more able (and willing) to buy their products.

>and Cultivate a reputation for being a helpful and straight shooting marketer.

Now to build a successful business online, at some point you will have to purchase some tools.
We might as well get that said right up front. As a matter of fact anybody that tells you
different is……well.. just not telling you like it really is.(To put it mildly).
You will also have to do some work. Again it is rare to  have a marketer tell you this up front, but it is true. Anytime you here terms like “No web site”,”no list” or “Money for doing nothing” grab your wallet and run for cover, because its almost never true. Trust me on this…..

>Nobody is going to line up with credit card in hand.

>Stuff your PayPal account with cash on auto pilot.

>Get Three that gets Three etc,etc.

Just because you signed up for some  program or bought the latest greatest Ebook on the next big thing.

The truth is you will have to make an investment of time, effort, and money to really succeed for the
 long term in any internet business no matter what your business model is->

>Afilliate marketing

>Artical marketing

>Private label rights

>Reseller of Master Resale rights

>Google Adsense

> or just about any other business model that you are in or considering getting in.

I got an email today from a marketer that is promoting a new ebook that is supposed
 to teach a system that  if followed correctly will make anybody tons of money
with no Website, no List, no advertizing, and very little effort. About half way through
 this sales letter this fellow explained that he did not have a website “except” for
 this one, and that his system was not a get rich quick scheme.My immediate thought was
Oh so all of these testimonials of 5,518 dollars in Eight days and 2,945 in Forty Eight
 hours…. Are what? Fakes.

 Once again trust me on this,If somebody has truly developed a system that makes that
 kind of money that fast, without having to invest in a website or the other necessary
tools to build a list, He would’nt go out and get hosting and build a website to sell this
Gem of a system to you and me. He would more likely guard this system like his little
sisters virginity.

So you are probably wondering, Ron when are you going to stop yakking and tell me what the
Six essentials To building long term success on the internet are. My answere, right now.

The Six essentials are.

1) An plan of ACTION

2) Your own WEBSITE.

3) Your own MARKETING LIST.

4) Your own PRODUCT.
 
5) A list of JOINT VENTURE and AFFILIATE PARTNERS.

6) Effective methods of driving TRAFFIC to your sites.

There you have it, Tah Daahhh  …Drive safely and don’t forget to tip your waitress. Ok Im only kidding,
but I am almost done with this post.

Please keep in mind that these are only the essentials for success. There are literally Hundreds of other tools
and lessons that will help any business succeed on the internet, but the purpose of this post  is to explain the What and Why of the Six essentials. This post hopefully has explained the What, and over the next
couple of weeks I will delivere Six more post that will explain the why and I will also tell you which services
I personally use for these Six most important aspects of any successfull business.

So until then keep in mind that you absolutely can succeed with your own internet business far beyond your wildest dreams, and I hope that this will save you a pile of time, money, and frustration in that pursuit.
