How will you improve your business this year?
Wednesday, January 9th, 2008How well did your business do last year?
This is the first question that I ask anybody that is asking for my help or advice in improving their online business. I am constantly amazed at people that are trying unsuccessfully to build a business online That do the same thing day in and day out, without change.
If you are unwilling to change your daily routine and go at your business from different angles, then you are doomed to reap the same results as yesterday or last year.
I have spent the first eight days of this new year writing my new business plan for 2008 and yes I have made a number of changes. I did very well last year but, There were a number of areas that I felt needed work. For starters I felt that I really needed to reorganize my hard drive, It had become a real mess! It was choked with ebooks, reports, articals, and info that was scattered all over my hard drive, making it very hard and time consuming to find and use for my business.
Another area of concern was traffic. This year I am determined to bring my business into the web 2.0 era. I will be focusing more on my blogs, squidoo lenses, and video production. Now this does not mean that I will not continue to focus on seo, artical writing and other affective methods of driving traffic to my websites, it simply indicates my willingest to change for the benefit of my business.
I also wanted to illustrate that I practice what I preach.
In my ecourse “The Six essential elements to a successful online business”, The very first essential element on the list is a plan of action. Without this plan of action almost any business online is destined to fail, So if you have not written your plan of action out for 2008, I suggest you do it now. You can also take few minuets and reread the the post “#2 your Business plan”.
Take the time to read through the Six essential elements here on this blog and see if you can make 2008 your start for online business success. These essentials were the start of my success.
